The Brilliance of Building

The brilliance of building is that not just anyone can build. In 1 Chronicle 28 1-16, God told King David that although he had the heart to build, his son Solomon would be the one to carry out the task.

You can’t build without breaking ground. I believe we’ve been called for such a time as this to build something new in the earth.

The Message bible defines groundbreaking as original, an important showing or a new way of doing or thinking about things. The Cambridge Bible says it’s very new and a big change from other things of its type.

The brilliance of building is that not just anyone can build. In 1 Chronicle 28 1-16, God told King David that although he had the heart to build, his son Solomon would be the one to carry out the task. “I have chosen your son Solomon to build because he obeys my commands.”

God must be the one to permit or build. Permits cause disturbances to unplanted ground. Seasons of groundbreaking require disturbance, shaking and turning over fallow soil. There’s no disturbing the norm (strongholds, learned behaviors in church, praising with no power) without it.

We need spiritual permission from God to build!

Glory!

All in all, this series will have about five parts before completion, but I want you to pay attention to these three things when working in a groundbreaking season.

You have been approved by God to build

As you read this declare “I am an expert builder.” Build by faith in Christ Jesus as in 1 Corinthians 3:12-15

Be aware of God’s presence (2 Timothy 4:1-2)

 God is always watching us. We should preach and teach holiness so we do not risk losing the presence of God. We know that sin separates us from God, from his presence. We are called to be seeds of righteousness

Avoid mess

When you are strategically building, stay out of word battles (arguments) that lead to spiritual ruin (2 Timothy 2:23-26).

To add to our God’s distinctive splendor and intelligence, he enables and favors you for the task when he allows you to build. In Numbers Chapter 6, before Moses “fully set up the tabernacle”, God bestowed a priestly blessing onto the Israelites:

“‘The Lord bless you

    and keep you;

25 the Lord make his face shine on you

    and be gracious to you;

26 the Lord turn his face toward you

    and give you peace.”‘

God gave an extended blessing to his people and the work.

Brilliant!

This year (2022) marks our 15th church anniversary, the Year of Priestly Blessings. Help us celebrate by making a donation to our building fund.
