Sister Shabkeim Simmons

Sister Shabkeim Simmons serves as the Director of Food Services at Thy Kingdom Has Come International Ministries (TKHC), where she has been a devoted Kingdom Partner for nearly eleven years. Faithful to God’s Kingdom and passionate about serving others, she strives to support and advance the vision of her Bishops through commitment, compassion, and a willingness to serve wherever she is needed.

For Sister Shabkeim, food service is an opportunity to nourish people, offer encouragement, and make others feel welcomed and valued. She believes that even a simple act of kindness can reflect God’s love and remind someone that they have not been forgotten. Her approach to ministry is rooted in humility, excellence, and the understanding that every person deserves to be treated with dignity.

Why I Love Serving Through Missions

“I am confident that when God created me, He gave me a heart to serve. I find great joy and purpose in supporting others through mission work because it allows me to extend the love of God through meaningful action. Whether I am helping provide a meal, meeting a practical need, or offering encouragement, I consider it a privilege to serve.

“Through missions, I get to witness firsthand how God’s love reaches people and how deeply compassionate He is toward us. Serving also strengthens my own faith. It teaches me to listen, to look beyond my own circumstances, and to recognize the value and strength in every person I encounter.

“Many of us in the United States are blessed with access to resources and opportunities that others may struggle to obtain. I believe those blessings carry a responsibility to share generously and thoughtfully. Our time, talents, and resources can help meet real needs while honoring the dignity of those we serve.

“To me, missions means putting faith into action. It means showing up with love, serving with humility, and trusting God to use what we offer. I am grateful for every opportunity to be His hands and feet, and for the partners whose generosity helps make this work possible.
